Cotronei is where my grandfather, Rocco Maccarrone, was from. Unlike Casamarciano, which is now a suburb of Naples, Cotronei is still pretty much isolated. The town itself is built on the side of a hill, and there is very little of it that is level.
As with the photos of Casamarciano, I just post these for future reference, to get a feel for the town.
